A Maine Saturday afternoon in the beauty of Mount Desert Islands' fall colors, the sound of music, dozens of Maine brews and crafts galore make this end-of-the- season one of Maine's largest and most successful festivals. The date is October 6th from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and is held at Smuggler's Den Campground in Southwest Harbor and is recognized as one of the outstanding celebrations in New England.

Imagine sampling over 88 brands of Maine's finest beer and wine, the tastes of a wide variety of foods and Maine gifts and crafts. All of this is topped off by day-long music by The 'Mainely Country Band' and 'Mark Kanter and the Bluesboy Review' .

A rain-or-shine party all under giant tents in an atmosphere of quality and friendship. This OKTOBERFEST has been selected by the national R V Magazine as one of the top twelve in the nation. It is also recommended by the New England Brewers magazine as an 'event not to miss'. It has also been recognized for the past several years by the national brewer's magazine as a great opportunity to include with the fall colors of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park all in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
